Yes, that's right, after less than two years since Spiritualized's last album, 'Let It Come Down', Pierce and co. are back with their next full-length. Easily the shortest gap between albums that Pierce has managed since his Spacemen 3 days, the forthcoming 'Amazing Grace' is set for release on September 8th through their own Spaceman imprint.
As previously reported, the album will also be released over three parts/weeks on vinyl. The final part, 'She Kissed Me', will also appear as a chart eligible CD single on September 1st.
Recorded live in under three weeks at Rockfield Studios last October, the album is said to encapsulate the raw qualities of the band in concert. The full tracklisting is as follows;
1. This Little Life Of Mine
2. She Kissed Me
3. Hold On
4. Oh Baby
5. Never Goin' Back
6. The Power And The Glory
7. Lord Let It Rain On Me
8. The Ballad Of Richie Lee
9. Cheapster
10. Rated X
11. Lay It Down Slow
Pierce was joined during the recordings by Kevin Bales, Doggen, Thighpaulsandra, Tom Edwards (not me, obviously) and John Coxon, who replaces bass player Martin Shellard. The band have now expanded their September tour to include an Irish jaunt and a second night at London's Electric Ballroom. The complete set of dates are as follows;

DiScuss: Will Spiritualized actually be any good underneath all the layers of production and without the 52-piece orchestra? Are they simply jumping on the lo-fi bandwagon?
