The Strokes: New Album In October
tom_edwards by Tom Edwards August 16th, 2003
The Strokes' second opus is due out in October, according to the band...

Despite their being no official press release as yet, the NY fivesome recently told Billboard that the untitled new album will be released Stateside through RCA on October 21st.

This corresponds to an October 20th release in the UK, where Rough Trade will handle the record. The band recorded the album with Gordon Raphael, the producer of their debut, after sessions with Nigel Godrich were terminated.

The track order is currently unconfirmed, but the songs that will appear on the album are as follows:

  • The End Has No End
  • Supernova
  • Nightmare
  • Never Needed Anybody
  • Under Control
  • I Can't Win
  • Meet Me In The Bathroom
  • Raga
  • Ze Newie
  • The Way It Is
  • You Talk Too Much
The first single is rumoured to be 'Supernova'. The band will be playing a US clubs tour shortly before the album is released.
