Leeds Festival Gets Licence
afuture1 by Andrew Future February 17th, 2004
The Leeds Festival today had its licence approved and is confirmed to take place over the weekend of Friday 27th to Sunday 29th August.

Bramham Park will again be the setting, and the organisers hope to make further inroads into ensuring that the site is as well put together as the former site at Temple Newham which was besieged by fire and rioting for a number of years. Last year’s event boasted 50,000 festival goers per day and with capacity raised by 2,500 the 2004 Carling Weekend Leeds Festival is sure to be even better.

Melvin Benn, Mean Fiddler Kingpin comment, “This is fantastic news, no need for politics this year, no need for uncertainty, just total focus on what will be the greatest musical line-up of the year and the greatest festival this year.”

With new albums expected by the likes of Oasis and The Pixies, the rumour mill for this years Carling Weekend will soon be in overdrive, so stay tuned for the most up to date news.
