Dedbeat 2004 Announces Line-Up
daniel_h by Daniel Hayward February 29th, 2004
So you thought Pontins wasn’t cool? Well you were wrong, son. The UK’s best – and, indeed, only - major Underground hip-hop festival has announced its line-up for 2004, and will be occurring within the unquestionably hip Holiday Centre’s home within Hemsby on Sea, Norfolk.

Taking place from the 23rd to 25th of April, Dedbeat 2004 is to have three stages: Beat, Pulse and Slump, and will feature performances from, among others, Biz Markie, KRS-1, MF Doom, Edan, El-P, Luke Vibert and LFO.

Both the Tigerbeat 6 and Lex labels will be presenting their own showcases; Tigerbeat 6 providing glitch-ridden entertainment in the form of Kid 606 and Com.A, whilst Lex are represented by Prince Po, Sage Francis, Danger Mouse and Tes.

Tickets are £95 each and include 3 nights self-contained chalet accommodation, an indoor swimming pool, an arcade, and various other miscellaneous amenities. The chalets, like those of ATP, sleep a minimum of four, but unlike ATP Dedbeat’s website offers a convenient 'chalet share' message board where those without three willing friends may meet fellow would-be-attendees.

To check out the full line-up or purchase tickets, head over to dedbeat.net.
