Last year Rufus Wainwright released one of the finest, most captivating records in recent memory. A truly epic record which sent shivers down our spines with its opera meets Sinatra swings and roundabouts. 'Want One' was never going to do a Dido or Norah Jones, but it sure as hell wouldn't be wrong for those Mortgage slaves to check him out, not that it makes his record any worse... we digress..
'Want One' was meant to be a double album, but the record company thought it better to release two albums, so the result is 'Want Two' which we hear through the grapevine has just been finished, but may have some new material added to it.
Rufus recently spoke to Rolling Stone about the record and possible release date: "My personal goal is to have it out before the presidential election. Want One very much deals with my own personal battles, whereas Want Two turns around and tries to tackle some of the earthly troubles that we're in right now. And I'd hate for the Democrats to win the election."
But what you really wanna know is, when is he here?
