rough trade exclusive with a bonus mix cd of stunning 80's spanish / basque electro-pop. 'star of love' is the much anticipated debut album from the purveyors of boundary shattering electro crystal fighters, whose music melds animal collective toned delicacy with soulwax inspired rave. this stunning collection of songs explores the themes in their singer laure's grandfather's writings, which are the main inspiration for their music and the reason the band exist today. basque folk instruments and thumping electro punk pop with lyrics from singer laura's grandfather's addled writings shouldn't really work, but 'star of love' is a real delight.
