Although Aceface *contain members of street-punk group *Superyob, their approach seems more akin to a street-_rock _style if the two tracks on this demo are anything to go by. Taken from their self-released _'God Save The Hooligans' _album (the title alone gives you some idea where they're coming from) and led by guitarist / vocalist Angel, her vocals lit up first track _‘Rock ’n’ Roll Darlings’ _and remind me a little of Cinder Block from Tilt. It's backed by a good, if mid-tempo, rocking beat, although a poor guitar solo mid way through doesn't really do it any favours.

_‘Bombsite’ _is only slightly better with it’s grinding groove and backing ‘ah’ harmonies but I guess what Aceface are all about is not mind-blowing technicality, but good ‘guitars, bass and drums’ rock songs, with a beat and a bit of street attitude thrown in. And what’s wrong with that?
