Tell you what, instead of me writing a little diatribe about this song, let us imagine Guy and Robbie using the relatively popular AOL Instant Messenger service.
Guy ChambersUK: Hey Robbie, I've written another new song for you.
RobbieEgo1: Oh yeah, what's it like? Will it make me another few quid to blow on booze and crack?
Guy ChambersUK: You ask that every time, of course it will... people lap up your arrogance and propensity for making stupid comments about people who've snubbed or rejected you. This one's got an extra special bit of magic though.
RobbieEgo1: What's that then? And hurry up, I'm off out to portray myself as relatively human on Parky in half an hour.
Guy ChambersUK: OK, well, you know I Will Survive - that Gloria Gaynor classic that Cake did a rather pleasant deadpan take on?
RobbieEgo1: Of course not, if I knew anything about music would I have released my last album?
Guy ChambersUK: Good point. Well, I've nicked the strings from that and made a song that sounds relatively like some of your previous less-upbeat songs such as No Regrets.
RobbieEgo1: Cracking. Will I win an award for it so I can neglect to mention the original writers, like what I did with She's The One?
Guy ChambersUK: You betcha. I even sorted the copyright thang this time.
RobbieEgo1: Grand. Gotta go, I'm about to threaten to lamp Richard Ashcroft, I hear he spoke to Kylie once...
