A fierce snare roll heralds the arrival of this chunky riff-driven slice of Brit-rock. Beefed-up fuzz-tone guitars send this pogo-ing pop metal monster along. There’s a hint of the stoner sneer that informs some of Jack’s Creation’s other stuff, but basically this is a gonzoid slice of moshing fun, like Terrorvision playing GnR in “Carry On Axl”. Stick this on and remember the days you’d park yourself in the middle of the dance floor at your local indie night with pint of Snakebite in hand.
B-side ‘Breakin’ & Divin’’ offers a more sneery vocal and slightly sludgier riffs, but basically it’s business as usual, cock-rocking its way onto the dancefloor and into the brain, pint in one hand, cig in the other.
Jack’s give us an undiluted slab of rock fun a million miles from the Velvets clones clogging the covers of certain magazines. Good for applying hair gel to. Also good for doing press-ups to. Go see. Take sunglasses.
