Having song titles* that make one reach for the Chambers is neither big nor clever (see: Oasis'_ 'Acquiesce') and just serves to remind your listeners that you were a lot more fun when you had songs called _'Fuck a Dog' and 'The Party Song'.
So it's no surprise that this, the 94th Blink spin-off band's entry onto the merry pop roundabout, was heralded by Tom DeLonge calling his pension plan_ “a bullshit pop band”_.
Ignoring the fact that most of the great bands of the last 60 years have been_ “bullshit pop bands”_, DeLonge's moaning only serves to remind listeners just how much fun Blink 182 were.
Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker's* +44* on t'other hand are named after a dialling code. And that's about as interesting as it gets. They call it the “culmination of their surging energy and creativity”. Good grief, if rent-a-melody emo is the best they can do they'd be better off retiring to their mansions.
