UK indie labels are apparently threatening to rig the new singles chart, which counts downloads on top of standard/traditional store sales from this coming Sunday, to expose how open the new system is to manipulation.
Gut Records chairman Guy Holmes says that the new format is flawed: ""I know of two different labels who are considering buying records online because they believe it's the only way they can teach the chart people that the security of the chart is no longer there."
