Bands under fire: The Sound Explosion and Kasabian on the injured list
jonions by Jeffrey Onions April 25th, 2005
On the operating table they're not, but members of both Kasabian and The Sound Explosion have nonetheless physically suffered for their art in recent days.

As has been widely reported already, Kasabian's Sergio Pizzorno was crocked by a bottle to the head at a gig in Glasgow on Friday. He required six stitches and was unable to finish the gig.

Pizzorno told reporters: "It's such a shame the actions of one person put an end to our best gig all year." The band played a second show on Saturday night with no reported incidents.

In related news, Glen Roughead of The Sound Explosion broke his foot during a gig in Newcastle. The singer jumped some 12 foot from the Cooperage's rafters, landing upon concrete. The next night's show, in Swansea, was cancelled, but the quartet is expected to provide their scheduled support to both Million Dead and Hell Is For Heroes in the immediate future.

Bunch of grapes, anybody?
