Blur have at least one, final album in there, says the band's bassist Alex James, new presenter of Channel 4 Radio's The Tube.
The band's guitarist Graham Coxon left in 2002, and singer Damon Albarn has been busying himself with a selection of projects including Gorrilaz and The Good, The Bad And The Queen (yes yes, I realise that's not the group's actual name, et cetera...)
James told the BBC: “I've got high hopes that Blur will have a happy four-piece ending. I think it would be a shame if it didn't, really. I think we'd all like to make another record. We'd all like to do it with Graham.”
With or without Coxon, James is sure Blur will get together for a final long-player. I'm not holding my breath, mind - if I did I'd pass out, and I've lots of work to do!
