And we're super excited!
DiS is really pleased to announced that the line-up for the next DiScover Club at RoTa - a free afternoon show at London's Notting Hill Arts Club - is now confirmed. We've four magical artists, four acts capable of sending the average listener spiralling into a fantasy land where the grey skies of London are replaced by wonderful rainbows and sparkling daytime stars.
Did we already say we're super excited? What? Get on with it? Okay!
In the past we've gone for noise and more noise at these free shows (apart from when we put on Martha Wainwright and Guillemots, obviously), but this bill is unlikely to have any attendees running for shelter from jagged guitars and screamed vocals. It is, quite frankly, the most delightful bill we've ever assembled for a free show. Check the details...

The Monroe Transfer are a stirringly atmospheric sextet from the mean streets of our own capital, who fantastically manage to craft intoxicatingly beautiful soundscapes from instruments traditional and otherwise despite their less-than-salubrious surroundings. The band's Electric Old Wire Noise album - a self-released record wrapped in amazing packaging - received a sizeable slice of acclaim upon its release earlier this year.

Adam Gnade is a wandering soul, lost in an America too large for his heart to understand, too complicated for his red wine-soaked mind to wholly compute. His output has been described as 'talking songs' - he's a gonzo beat poet on a dusty trail to somewhere over the rainbow, but he's fully expecting the pot o' gold to be empty and split in half. His debut album, Run, Hide, Retreat, Surrender, brought his talents to the attention of DiS Records, who released the Shout The Rafters Down! EP last month. An astonishingly unique talent, Gnade's Notting Hill performance will be his first of two on the same day - he'll play Oxford with Youthmovies and Blood Red Shoes in the evening.

Ape Has Killed Ape are Emily Gray and Tim Croston; they were once part of the Our 66-recognised Meanwhile Back In Communist Russia - click here and check out number 39, and AHKA are sure to appeal to fans of the disbanded Oxford outfit. The blurb on their MySpace page, it reads: Ape enthusiasts Tim and Emily leave behind 2% of their DNA, but bring with them some mellifluous spite and rage. Expect tense prose, scuffy beats, cornet and glockenspiel. Plus a menagerie of percussion instruments - none of which require the fine motor skills associated with opposable thumbs.

Viking Moses (pictured) is Missouri-spawned Brendon Massei. Sometimes he plays with a band, and sometimes he doesn't; as of this very minute, we don't know what we're going to get, but we know it'll be fantastic. His recently-released Crosses LP, on Poptones, earned itself a bucketload or two of praise, and received a great review on these very pages - you can read all about it by clicking the link below.

Seriously, just how fantastic is that (not in running order so come down early) bill? Also performing, after a fashion, will be some DiS DJs, making sure that the gaps between bands are filled by sweet, sweet music. Drinks are cheap, and the atmosphere is fun, so won't you come?
