Oasis's Liam Gallagher - a well-documented fan of The Beatles - has called the production on the defunct (and fifty per cent deceased) band's latest collection, Love, rubbish.
Liam's brother Noel, pictured with his younger sibling, commented that the record - a compilation of revised favourite compositions - bored him and that he turned it off after just five songs. Again, Noel's known as quite The Beatles fan.
Of course, though, the two bands are currently head-to-head in the race to reach number one on Sunday's album chart - Oasis' Stop The Clocks was released yesterday, although it looks likely to be trumped by Westlife's The Love Album, see news here.
The brothers spoke to NME at the screening of their Lord Don't Slow Me Down film, a collection of live performances. The pair called Love's release pointless, and Liam commented:
“If you haven’t got The Beatles by now, you’re not going to get it. I’m all Beatled up!”
