Bloc Party: playing more dates than we've had with even moderately hot girls
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver January 9th, 2007

Bloc Party have announced a hella lotta US tour dates for March. They were, of course, forced to abandon their tour with Panic! At The Disco late last year following drummer Matt Tong's collapsed lung.

EAT MY GOAL.

And relax. The band - who release their second album on February 5 - kick off their US/Canada dates on March 11 in Seattle. US readers will have to wait 'til March 6 to buy Bloc Party's new LP, when it's released through Vice.

Joining Bloc Party on these US dates are a wealth of acts including Albert Hammond Jr., The Like, Final Fantasy and Smoosh - check venues for details.

March
11 Seattle Paramount Theatre
12 Vancouver Orpheum Theatre
13 Portland Crystal Ballroom
15 Austin South by Southwest
17 San Francisco Concourse Exhibition
19 + 20 Los Angeles Wiltern Theatre
23 Chicago Congress Theatre
24 Detroit Royal Oak Theatre
25 Toronto Kool Haus
27 Montreal Metropolis
28 Boston Orpheum Theatre
30 + 31 New York United Palace Theatre

Bloc Party play a series of UK dates before setting off for the States via Japan - click to their MySpace for dates, or even here for DiS's listings.

Bloc Party release a single, 'The Prayer', on January 29; DiS review coming soon, as well as an album preview.
