Nick Hodgson, drummer with popular northern poppers Kaiser Chiefs, has revealed that the contemporary music scene, which his own band is a part of, is "average" and many of its bands "shit".

Says Nick, as reported by Contactmusic.com:
"There's so much shit in guitar music at the moment. You imagine an A&R man seeing this bandwagon, jumping on it and signing any old shit with a guitar around its neck. I was watching this film about The Ramones - it got me thinking how everything was so average nowadays."
Are The Ramones and today's beat combos truly related? Is it really 30 years since punk and all that? No, it's not, and no, they're not. Really. Nick, your stating of the obvious makes us like you. Come over for biscuits anytime.
But leave that guy shouting "Ruby" over and over at home, yeah? We like him, too, but he gets a bit... excited?
