UK soul singer Amy Winehouse has made US chart history with her new Back To Black album.
The long-player entered the US chart at number seven, making it the highest-debuting record by a UK-based female artist.
Of her achievement, the singer commented:
"You're kidding... bloody hell. I'm really proud of this record. The highest what? Really? That's unbelievable."
Or something. Winehouse only began making waves in the US earlier this year, playing her first stateside show in January. DiS caught her playing acoustic at South By Southwest. She was, like, okay and stuff.
