More acts announced for Primavera: White Stripes, Beirut, Hot Chip...
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver March 22nd, 2007

A handful more excellent bands have been confirmed for this year’s Primavera Sound festival, held in the Spring in Barcelona, making an incredible line-up that little bit more brilliant.

The three-day event kicks off on May 31, and DiS will be there to take in all the sights and sounds it has to offer. Sights and sounds that look like these recently announced acts:

Battles
Beirut
Black Lips
Fujiya & Miyagi
Hot Chip
Portastatic
(with full band)
The White Stripes (exclusive Spanish date this year)
Alexander Tucker

Also announced within the last few days were the following Spanish bands: AA Tigre, Anticonceptivas, Ghouls´n´Ghosts, Half Foot Outside, Peluze, Plastic D´Amour, Raul Möya y el Trio Miniña, Sr. Chinarro, and Za.

Which means the total line-up is, frankly, amazing. Below are a few highlights, but click to the festival’s official website, here, for full information and ticket details.

Apples in Stereo, Band Of Horses, Black Mountain, Built To Spill, Comets On Fire, Dirty Three, Explosions In The Sky, Girls Against Boys, Grizzly Bear, Herman Dune, Isis, Kid Koala, Klaxons, Low, Maximo Park, Melvins, Modest Mouse, Pelican, The Rakes, Smashing Pumpkins, Spank Rock, Ted Leo And The Pharmacists, Wilco.

Wow? Wow.
