Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher is planning to release a solo album in the future, reports NME.
Noel told the weekly: "I've actually got a backlog of songs that are slowly building up. The thing about a solo record is the time to do one is between Oasis world tours because you'd have a good couple of years."
Gallagher added that he has four or five songs already planned for inclusion on a solo record, which he says "is coming". Oasis meanwhile are working on the follow-up to 2005's well-received Don't Believe The Truth LP. The as-yet-untitled record is due out next year.
