Tag along: Reverend tattoos Arctic Monkey
TheBoyDeadly by TheBoyDeadly October 10th, 2007

Reverend, of ...and the Makers fame, has claimed that one of the Arctic Monkeys has the title of one of his poems tattooed on his neck.

Apparently a member of the well decent Sheffield band carries the legend "Speak The Truth" across the back of his shoulders.

He wouldn't, however, disclose which member. The one that always wears polo necks, presumably; or the one with the long hair. Looking at that picture above, you'd think the tat would've been spotted by Johnny Flash hack by now.

Speaking to the BBC, McClure expanded: "My brother's got it on his arm and one of the Arctic Monkeys has got it on the back of his neck. It's more of a code of ethics, it's not preaching.

"The message is essentially peace and love, because I wonder what happened to that. It kind of got washed away in the '80s and was replaced by a load of rock stars. We're the people's band."

Sorry, what? What people? Last time we checked your record had shipped 46,000. That's about seven and a half times less than Paul Potts, which means that: a) you should stop harping on about being the people's band; b) Paul Potts is now the benchmark by which Luciano Pavarotti, Reverend and the Makers and by proxy everything else ever is measured.

"The overriding message is peace and love in what is the most turbulent time in living history."

Ends...
