Bad news, northern Foals fans: tonight's show in Carlisle is cancelled.
Says Edwin from the five-piece, via MySpace:
"Yannis (vocals, guitar) smashed up his foot last night in Wrexham in an on-stage incident that can only be described as 'gooberish'. It looks a bit like a clown's nose. A clown's nose full of blood, pus, and coarse greek hair. So we've had to cancel tonight's show in Carlisle in favour of a stay in A&E. This is the second time we've cancelled in Carlisle - the first being due to a visa interview being moved about three times by the charming and heavily armed staff at the American Embassy - so to say that we're apologetic and embarrassed is... well, something of a redundant understatement. We're really sorry.
"The good news, sodden and wind-swept though it may be, is that the show has just this minute been rescheduled (again) for the 8th of March. All tickets will of course still be valid. Even if they will be five months old by then. Shiiit.
"We are definitely playing the rest of the shows this year. Yannis may have to be wheeled on, dribblings of pain suppressed, but that, Britain, is how we roll. I guess.
"Cheers, sorry, fuck...
"Edwin."
