A reminder, if you'll allow it: tomorrow, our second DiScover Club of 2008 goes down at the Notting Hill Arts Club, London - in conjunction with Rough Trade Shops/RoTa - and it looks likely to be a winner.
But I would say that, right? I booked it. But check the bill: great bands, for free, for you, tomorrow... and no FA Cup on the telly as a distraction this week.
Munch Munch (pictured)
Bristol's Munch Munch are a wonderfully weird avant-pop four-piece, whose music has been compared to Klaxons and Deerhoof, via Man Man. Fact of the matter is, despite a few touchstones, they're really quite unique, and wholly special. February's DiScover Club is their first-ever headline date - our advice is, predictably but fairly, do not miss it.

One More Grain
Tales of the unexpected set to Fall-compared arrangements make for one truly enticing concoction. Categorisation-shakers, One More Grain have been building a profile in and beyond their adopted hometown of London for some time, and their recent Isle Of Grain LP has solidified their position as beguilingly unusual ones to watch in 2008.

Elle S'Appelle
A fizzy-pop Liverpool trio playing Mates Of State-esque indie to tap a frantic toe or two along with, Elle S'Appelle introduced themselves to DiS in the best way possible last year with their excellent Moshi Moshi single, 'Little Flame'. It sold out, and if that's any sort of precedent expect the three-piece to be charming more ears with their forthcoming releases.
