The Monroe Transfer have been forced to cancel their set at tomorrow’s DiScover Club at London’s Notting Hill Arts Club (April 5) as their drummer Ed is unwell.
A statement from the band reads:
“Apologies for the short notice, but Ed has been taken too ill to be able to play tomorrow - we are saddened, but he’ll be back on playing form very soon. If free gigs are your thing, why not come along to see us at the Big Chill House, near King’s Cross Station, on 20th April? It’ll be a great night, we promise, and equally (if not more) free.”
Opening instead will be London-based purveyors of melancholy-tinged modern folk Fireworks Night (pictured). They’re on stage at 5pm, with Vessels following at 6pm and Broken Records headlining at 7pm.
