That's a V for Victory indeed, as SonyBMG are to re-release Michael Jackson's singles to date in the new year, in a similar fashion to their Elvis reissues this year.
The series will run from January 23rd, when 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough' will emerge on Dualdisc format, until May. Songs will include 'Beat It', 'Billie Jean', 'Bad' and - WHAT ABOUT CHICKENS? WHAT ABOUT PEAS? - 'Earth Song'.
The Dualdisc format will allow buyers to own the video to the song in question, as well as the studio recording, so fans already calling the songs their own will have a whole new reason to part with their pennies.
UH AAAH AAAAAAAH AAAH AAAH AAAH AH AH AH, AAAAAAAAAAH.
Darren Henderson of SonyBMG said: "Michael has been fully behind this project and the originality of the first ever Dualdisc single idea typifies the creativity of one of the most innovative artists in our lifetime. The quality of each single, having the audio on one side and the video on the other, is a compelling proposition for his fans."
A boxset version of the massive-selling Thriller album is also due for release.
Hold on to that tree, Michael.
