Depeche Mode have rather let the cat out of its proverbial bag: although organisers of this summer's Wireless Festival, held in London's Hyde Park, haven't yet revealed the initial line up, the three-piece have posted the event on the upcoming shows page of their website.
D'oh!
Last year's event, at which DiS had a stage, saw the likes of Kasabian and Keane play to a decent crowd, and this year's event promises to be even bigger since Glastonbury isn't on.
In other festival news, the word on the street is that Franz Ferdinand are one of the bands that'll headline the twin-site Carling Weekend, in Reading and Leeds. Muse have also been approached, and it's thought that Kaiser Chiefs, The Flaming Lips and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are to be among the groups making up the (probably main stage) numbers. Arctic Monkeys are expected to headline the second stage on one of the three days.
DiScuss: Okay, Franz and Muse... who do you want to see headlining the remaining main stage slot?
