Some of you have questioned, some of you weren't bothered. Well, for those that are coming to the monthly DiS extravaganza at The Barfly, Camden this Friday, here are the need-to-know details.
When? This Friday, foo'. That's February 24th, in effect. Doors open at 10.30 and we'll boot you out when 3am rolls around. That, or when you've sunk enough rum to put Keith Richards in a coma, whichever happens first.
Where? The Barfly on Chalk Farm Road, of course! The nearest Tube is Chalk Farm, but if you walk from Camden Town you'll be able to duck your head down when you pass the 'weed, hash' men on the bridge: additional fun!
Who? We're very pleased that we've pulled two fantastic bands outta our... um... wherever we keep 'em:
Optimist Club (pictured) are frenzied punk-rockin' sorts that also ply a fine line in post-rawking soundscape-type towering stuff. You may remember them from our readers tips for 2006 vote, which they nearly won! They've played all over this capital of ours, including a show with the fuggin' excellent Wives, and are gonna headline this night 'til you're all sweated out. MOIST.

The Rank Deluxe come to DiS courtesy of two parties: Mr Bamos and Mr Brainlove. Boys, men, we salute you. They play what they call 'sewage rock' - let's hope they don't stink the place up too much, eh? SAVOURY.

How? Much? Price-wise? Glad you asked. To you, sir or madam, entrance on the door will be six English pounds. However, bring with you a print out of the event page from the listings, HERE, and we'll let you off a quid. That's A FIVER, then, for two rockin' bands and DJ action courtesy of DiSsers (DJ Uncle Bighands, MC Golden Shower, DJ CrabbyCrab and Das Gink) 'til three hours t'other side o' midnight. If we see Sean Paul as you come in, that is.
Cannae say fairer than that.
