His face has no doubt helped them shift a few thousand copies more of their filthy rag, but The Sun has started a 'Get Pete off the Street' campaign, saying that troubled Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty needs to be behind bars.
Although Doherty's obviously got his problems - he was arrested for allegedly stealing a car only days ago - the former Libertines frontman is trying, again, to do something about it, which makes The Sun's approach a little unsympathetic to say the least. Doherty has checked himself into the Homerton Hospital, London, for treatment for manic depression.
Of course, if he is a certified manic depressive as one clinical psychologist has already diagnosed, then perhaps he'll be forced into receiving the care he so obviously needs. Don't get us wrong - DiS isn't sucking up where we've previously shat freely - but the man clearly needs someone to take care of him, properly.
Let's hope that Doherty does get himself together, and soon, because while we're not going to report on when he next breaks into an ex's house to steal notes from under a bedspread, you know who will - the very same people that are hounding him now.
We'd offer a get well soon, and sincerely, but it'd almost certainly fall on deaf ears.
