Plans are afoot in the US to create a show featuring aspiring music writers competing for a staff writer position at Rolling Stone magazine. Anyone else feeling a little deja vu here? Didn't a story like this crop up a while back? Anyway...
The wannabe writers will be follwed by MTV as they undertake a series of assignments for a total of three months. Then, a winner will be announced.
Rolling Stone publisher Jann Wenner commented:
"Throughout our history we have seen the careers of some of the nation's most notable journalists flourish, including Cameron Crowe and the late Hunter S. Thompson. We're anxious to meet the candidates and welcome them into the Rolling Stone family as they embark on their professional careers."
