Slayer are to release their first studio album for five years on July 24th, the follow-up to God Hates Us All.
The release will be the band's first for new label Warner Bros., too. Recorded in LA, the long-player currently lacks a title. We'd like to suggest Metal Is Better Than Your Mom, or Axe-Mangling 101, An Introduction To Rock. Then we'd like to collect our coats and leave, ta.
A digital single will precede the album's release on June 6th. Guitarist-with-tatts Kerry King commented:
"It's definitely going to be a riff-fest. There's riffs all over the place. As much time as we had to work on it, there better be riffs on it. I think anybody who likes Slayer, musically, is going to love it."
What about those that love Slayer, physically? Those that wet-dream of the return of Dave Lombardo, drummer supreme who left the group in 1991? What? He's back? Awesome...
Slayer tour the States with Mastodon this summer. UK dates are, y'know, probably forthcoming. Probably.
