Seriously, the opening line of DiS's Razorlight profile has brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, old biography writer, thank you.
Anyway, London's most passionate and wired rock and roll band have been shooting the shit in the direction of a fellow set of young pretenders, those darn Arctic Monkeys.
Smug-faced stick insect singer Johnny Borell is reported to have said that the Sheffield band aren't a patch on his own outfit. When asked if he thought Arctic Monkeys were a band worthy of Razorlight rival status, he replied: "Of course I fucking don't".
WOW.
Borell also said that The Strokes, Libertines and Yeah Yeah Yeahs were also waaaaaay better than the Arctic Monkeys. So that's them told, then.
Razorlight's second album is out in July, and is preceded by a single, 'In The Morning', on July 3rd. It'll be better than that dancefloor song, innit.*
* This may be untrue.
