Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis might just have let the cat - the cat in this case being one Kylie Minogue - out of the bag - the bag being, um, his mouth - by stating that the pop pixie is to headline his festival's Sunday night - said festival being Glastonbury... and we've come full circle.
The Mirror has quoted Eavis as follows:
"Kylie is definitely going to be the Sunday night headliner. We want her to do all the stuff she did on her Showgirl tour with the fairies and the trapeze. She's so Glastonbury. I'm worried it's too early for her but she's really keen. Her people said they don't even need a contract - a handshake is enough."
Eavis uttered the above at the Ivor Novello Awards on Thursday. He's said to have already booked all three headliners for the 2007 event, although no report-worthy clues have been dropped as to the identity of the other two.
