It's the freakin' World Cup, okay? We've other things on our mind than 'music'. That being the case, here's a run through of newsy bits 'n' pieces that we might've written more on if we weren't so STUPIDLY excited. Yes, even about Germany against Costa Rica... we've already sent someone to get us a seat in t'boozer.
Guns N Roses overran last night at their London show. After arriving on stage an hour late, Axl Rose (pictured in Old School mode) and co. played through 'til one in the morning, meaning that many a fan missed much of the show.
After much booing from a clearly frustrated crowd at the Hammersmith Apollo, the band delivered their still-loved hits to much applause. Sadly, due to last Tubes et al, the band finished playing to a less-than-full house.
David Bowie is to appear as himself in an episode of the Ricky Gervais-penned comedy show Extras, reports NME.com.
The website also says that Madonna was keen to appear in the forthcoming second series, but was forced to pull out due to touring commitments.
Pete Doherty is apparently back in rehab again, this time in Portugal. The Babyshambles singer, arrested only last week following an incident on an easyJet flight to Barcelona, is to attempt to de-tox for a few weeks before receiving an opiate-suppressing implant.

Former Destiny's Child star Beyoncé Knowles is holding auditions in the States to find an all-girl backing band.
The singer will be looking for drummers, keyboard players, guitarists, bassists, percussionists and horn players in the following cities: Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Burbank, and Weehawken. Auditions are next Monday, June 12. More information is almost certainly available by searching for it - we'd provide a link, but frankly we doubt too many of you will be wanting to rock out to 'Work It Out'.
Finally (we think...), a couple of arrests have been made relating to a shooting at a Kanye West show in Birmingham earlier this year.
A pair of stewards at the gig were shot as they attempted to eject an individual from the show. One suffered serious injuries. At the time two men were arrested, but were almost immediately released without charge.
There's no offical word yet as to who has been arrested now.
