Alfie, having delivered one of the most audacious albums of the year return with yet another suitably accomplished offering.

'You Make No Bones (revisited)' is, as the title suggests, a re-working of the album track. The difference is not hugely noticeable, but we are gifted a wonderfully melodic lazy acoustic tune, oozing the meandering monotonous vocals of frontman Lee Gorton. Cello and harmonica also comprise to lead this unusual, folksy track to an enchanting climax.

'The Reverse Midas Touch' with it's electro-old skool-Commodore-64-synth riff, collaborates with some soulful swarve musings from guitarist Ian Smith, before developing into a equally soothing and suitably summery track.

'Wormwood', the slower of the three tracks, but not lacking in the now stereotypical hazy Alfie trademark. Muttered vocals, and an enchanting backing track combine for a suitably haunting synth and guitar finale.

All in a day's work for Manchester's own mellow percussionists, Alfie.
