Quickspace

Pissed Off Boy

Label: Domino Records Release Date: 14/03/2005

Sometimes it's good to just let everyone know how you feel.

Who needs a patronising slice of "I'm fine, everything's fine, you'll be alright"? I'm not. It's not. You won't.

Tom Cullinan, aka the MOUTHpiece of Quickspace certainly isn't, and boy does he want everyone to know about it. Throwing his toys out of his pram in spectacular fashion, Cullinan screams incessantly "I'm a pissed off boy! I'm a browned off man!" over a Ramones-like chug before halting abruptly, no doubt after Cullinan rams his fist through his landlord's abdomen and back out his bathroom wall cavity.

Even better is the flipside, 'Arse Is On Fire', which starts with the immortal couplet:-

_"I've got chillblains

They're multiplying

And I'm trying to keep control

But the pain is excruciating

Like a hot cheese wire

In my dirty old hole" _

Sounding like Chris T-T if he were forced to travel backwards through a waste disposal unit or simply Graham Coxon after graduating with a 2:1 honours degree in Two Chord Toilet Humour, this record is a must have for anyone in need of light relief after overdosing on too much 'Frances The Mute' has led to a mild case of aural indigestion.
