Yes indeed, the influence of the late Cobain still remains strong amongst the youth. Stick Finlays play that angsty grunge which InMe seem to be doing well with at the moment. Stick Finlays' music is a bit darker than the aforementioned Essex pinups, and they also like the odd, gulp, guitar solo. They're certainly very tight. The demo is well recorded and features some great photography of the band. They're from somewhere in Scotland called Jedburgh, and at time of writing have plans for a couple of gigs in London (see their profile page for said dates).
It's all pretty good stuff but they'd do well to try and find a sound of their own rather than tread so much in the shadow of their heroes.
