A couple of Thursdays ago we were treated to the first live playback - South of the border - of the new My Latest Novel record, _Deaths And Entrances_ at DiScover Manchester.
It's due May 18th on Bella Union, and what we can tell you is this: the songs are sounding huge, without losing any of the nuance that made debut album Wolves one of this writer's absolute favourites.
Supports Papercuts and local boys Young British Artists both acquitted themselves admirably, too - particularly the former, given they only arrived minutes before their allotted stage time. It seems we aren't alone in loving latest release You Can Have What You Want.
Next up at The Deaf Institute we've got a stupendously exciting May double header: M83 on the 7th and Abe Vigoda/The Mae Shi a week later. Tickets for the former are selling very well indeed, so don't delay in securing your place for what promises to be one of the gigs of the year.
My Latest Novel's setlist
