You know how people think The Libertines are relevent or that Jet somehow represent the musical tastes of a whole generation? Well, a decade ago, there was this bunch of dreg ends called Suede.
Their second LP Dogmanstar has the kind of musicality few bands could ever conceive, receiving rapturous press across the board. Being a bunch of drug addicts didn't help the band and they soon split with their guitarist/creative director, one Bernard Butler.
With Suede split, Brett Anderson and Bernard are back together with Nathan Fisher (Bass), Mako Sakamoto (Drums) and Will Foster (Keyboards) making up the numbers. The Tears is their new name.
It will not be easy living up to expectations.
Two live dates have been announced:
Heaven, London on 16 December
Razzmatazz, Barcelona on 18 December
See eBay to buy tickets, because they sold out instantly. The record will be released through Independiente in the new year.
DIScuss: Will this record be any good? Can they recapture what they had?
