Yes, that's right, Beck will preview five songs off his upcoming record, 'Guero,' on FOX's teen melodrama The O.C. The songs will be played in the show nearly three weeks before the CD is released. 'Guero' was originally scheduled to be in stores last October, but faced delays until this March in order to give the artist more time to polish up the production. In an ironic twist of fate, Beck's label, Interscope/Geffen, may move up the release date due to the fact that a few songs from the disc have already made their way into cyberspace via the Internet. Hm, now I wonder just who could be behind leaking those tracks....
The five songs selected for March 10th episode of The O.C. include the album's lead single, 'E-Pro,' along witih 'Scarecrow,' 'Missing,' 'Girl,' 'Que Onda Guero.' A cover of Daniel Johnson's 'True Love Will Find You in the End' will also be featured on the episode, as well as will be included on the fourth edition of the The O.C.'s soundtrack series (at least, that's what Billboard says).
Beck's 'Guero' is scheduled to hit stores March 28th.
