A duet between Dizzee Rascal and Arctic Monkeys, arguably the two most lauded 'street' acts in the UK at the moment, is the subject of red-top speculation this morning.
Monkeys frontman Alex Turner apparently visited London yesterday to talk to the grime star about the collaboration, which is the result of a friendship developed at the Carling festivals this summer.
Incidentally, 'in the offing' is a phrase that originates from nautical terminology.
"It's the part of the sea that is most distant from the shore but is still visible," say phrases.org.uk. "So, someone who was watching out for a ship would first see it approaching when it was 'in the offing' and when it was expected to dock soon. Something that was 'in the offing'... will inevitably happen before too long."
There is a dearth of news today.
