The Radio 1 DJ, the only one to stay with the station for it's whole history, will become a Doctor of Letters at the ceremony this friday, December 7, being honoured for his contributions to the field of popular music over the past 35 years.
The ceremony will take place at 3pm in the Great Hall at the university and later that day, he will take part in a live broadcast to mark the 21st birthday of Bradford's student radio station RamAir.
