Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke, who is the frontman of Radiohead, has revealed how Radiohead didn’t play this year’s Glastonbury festival due to the absence of a local transport infrastructure around the Glastonbury site in Glastonbury.
Rock ‘n’ roll!
Speaking to the Sun after the launch of the Big Ask Europe campaign yesterday (details), Yorke said that his band were “trying to… only play in areas that have a public transport infrastructure in place.
“So that rules out Glastonbury for this year,” he continued. “Maybe we can work out a plan for the future. They’re probably sick of the sight of us anyway.”
So – no buses, no headline show? That would seem to be the message to Glastonbury council and festival organiser Michael Eavis.
