The Wildhearts Come Back... Again!
misterben by Mr Ben February 21st, 2002
The Wildhearts, who once said that they would never reform, and described themselves as "on hold" following their disastrous comeback tour of last summer, are to play some live dates in April.

Their website, for once, doesn't even hint at the new tour, but tickets are already on sale for the following dates:-

April
23rd - Liquid Room, Edinburgh
24th - Rock City, Nottingham
26th - Coal Exchange, Cardiff
27th - L2, Liverpool
29th - Academy 2, Birmingham

More dates are expected soon.

Since bassist Danny McCormack had to drop out of last summer's tour mid-way through proceedings owing to ill health, there has been some speculation as to who will be playing in the band for these new dates. The only hint so far has been a comment made by frontman Ginger at the end of last year :-

"The Wildhearts will work again next year, as the fans are second to none and the money's good. But don't expect the old line-up unless you get off on seeing things fail spectacularly."

Any suggestions as to the band's lineup on the forthcoming tour are at present pure speculation.
