Radio One is reaffirming its commitment to brand new music by scheduling a day of airtime devoted to unsigned artists on May 6.
Called OneMusic Day, it "will help artists access the record industry, encouraging new musicians of all backgrounds and genres to get out there and get heard," according to Radio One.
In addition to the day itself, OneMusic will be the springboard for a knowledge sharing initiative with over 100 OneMusic guides to various aspects of the music business.
For more details about OneMusic and how to get your material played on Radio 1, email onemusic@bbc.co.uk.
NB: this extends to indie labels with fewer than 4 acts on the roster.
