Idlewild to play all their albums in full
sean by Sean Adams September 15th, 2008

Well-turned out, former Scottish scruffian poetic grunge-punks, iDLEWiLD are set to perform all their albums.

With a teenage wriggle of excitement not felt since hearing that Ash were to play 1977 in an ATP-Don't-Look-Back-style; DiS is pleased to share the news that Idlewild have announced a five-night-stand at the legendary King Tut's in Glasgow, where they will play their back catalogue in its entirety.

Taking place in December, featuring an album a night, the dates for your diary, if you manage to get a ticket, are as follows:

December
Wed 17th Hope Is Important & others
Thurs 18th 100 Broken Windows
Fri 19th The Remote Part
Sat 20th Warnings/Promises & Acoustic set
Sun 21st Captain & Make Another World

Tickets went on sale this morning. There are 250 tickets per night, priced £15 or you can buy one of 50 tickets for all 5 nights for £50 (some reason this doesn't seem to be currently available). Tickets available from gigsinscotland.com and kingtuts.co.uk.

In other news Roddy has a new solo album

DiScuss: could this be the end for Idlewild? Which show are you going to? Did you form a band because of Idlewild? Would you be listening to the music you listen to today if it wasn't for Roddy name checking little known American acts? Ditto authors and philosophers? How many times have you seen them? Think I've seen them thirty times, should I be embarrassed about this?
