LCD Soundsystem album confirmed with release date and tracklisting
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater March 4th, 2010

Just a matter of days after James Murphy announced that work had finished on the new LCD Soundsystem record the news comes in that the album has been confirmed, with a tracklisting and release date, though there is STILL no name. Grumble, grumble.

Anyhow, the as-yet-untitled and long-awaited third record will be released on May 17 in the UK through DFA/Parlophone and contains the following tracks:

  1. Dance Yrself Clean
  2. Drunk Girls
  3. One Touch
  4. All I Want
  5. Change
  6. Hit
  7. Pow Pow
  8. Somebody’s Calling Me
  9. What You Need

Somebody's Calling Me. "What You Need is to Change and Dance Yrself Clean", he said. I replied "All I Want is Drunk Girls to Hit. One Touch, Pow Pow!".

The album was recorded over the course of a a fair few months at this mansion in Los Angeles that James Murphy kept going on about. The record only took 11 months to mix, too, which was done at the DFA Studios in New York. See below for the two video clips which have been floating around for a bit of background information.
