We can genuinely never grow tired or jaded about musicians giving away stuff at Christmas, especially when it's themed festively. Last week we had Banjo or Freakout doing just that and now we've got Welsh wizards Golau Glau doing that too. I've finally worked out how to pronounce their name properly, so that's my present from me to them.
The EP is titled Myrrh & Myth and contains the following tracks...
- 'Oak Moon' - beautiful Winter Solstice song
- 'Yew' - radiophonic Yule instrumental
- 'Stolen By Sailors' - the myth and magic of St. Nicholas (we have also included a radio edit, as this one is quite long)
- 'O Come, O Come, Emmanuel' - GG arrangement of the classic Christmas carol
- 'Mari Lwyd/Pwnco' - hauntological sound piece inspired by the Welsh seasonal tradition
...plus also has this cover, should you want it for your iTunes or whatnot.
You can get it from their BandCamp page here, which is fairly simple. They've also made a video for one and each track on the EP. We've embedded the one for 'O Come, O Come, Emmanuel', but the rest can be viewed on their Vimeo channel.
