Tonight, in East London, DiS-favourite Emmy the Great and hero-just-about-covers-it Tim Wheeler of Ash will be playing a JD Set show, celebrating the joy of Pixies. A DiS competition winner will be in attendance and the Jack Daniels will be flowing, in a responsible manner^.

Why the heck are they playing songs by one of the greatest bands, like, ever? I wrote some questions to stimulate some conversation between Emmy & Tim to find out a little more about their la la love and a little bit about the magic of covers; the PR lady (the first voice you hear) bashed record and here's what came back, totally unedited as there's just a little bit too much humanity and charm to the bits we could've lopped off...
