We've kept you fairly well-updated with news about Efterklang's Vincent Moon film collaboration An Island, which has had hundreds and hundreds of screenings across the world to date, some of which were in people's bedrooms, lounges and even sheds, I believe. The news this time round is that they are releasing it on DVD, which was to be expected, but are also making it available as a "pay what you want" style download. You could say "doing a Radiohead". But we won't.
The digital version is available to download from here whilst the physical, deluxe DVD version is available for pre-order on the same website, too. That is limited to 5,000 "custom-made, eco-friendly, numbered, letterpress printed covers" which also includes a bonus DVD disc. Also there is a new Efterklang EP, Live at Roskilde 2010, exclusive to the DVD release.
Those who pre-order the DVD will also be given near-instant access to the download. If you don't want to, y'know, pay money for this product then you can still catch a few screenings of the film. See here for details.
