Matter split up(?)
oappleby by Ollie Appleby June 30th, 2002
With internet rumours moving around for the last few days, it's looks like Matter have (probably) split up...

Having toured the UK with Charger and Minus during January/February this year getting some good press on the way, the band seem to have called it quits. Yesterday Undergroove Records released an official statement on the Matter affair.

"Well, we hate to say it, but it's looking like the mighty Matter have split up! Although the details are sketchy right now (even to us at the record label) - Brighton's Matter have called it a day in their current guise. There will probably be an official statement from the band very very soon - keep your eyes peeled." - Darren Sadler (Undergroove)

So, more details to come, seems like the band themselves aren't too sure which way to jump at the moment anyway. Could it be the beginning of the end for the wave of Kerrang pushed young UK bands?
